There's a little confusion regarding the blend of nationalities in the family tree of Sabine Singh (Greenlee) – even we had it a little muddled the first time around – so
let's clear the air. Singh's father is an Indian maharaja who was born in India in 1936. But when part of India was made into Pakistan in 1947,
Singh's father and his family were displaced from the area. So, while the place where he was born is now Pakistan,
Singh's dad is Indian through and through – even thought he hadn't been back to his birthplace until this year. “I love India.
We're going again this Christmas,” the actress says, adding that she hoped to get time off from the soap to accompany him. “We
haven't been there in forever, but my father's been invited to go back into Pakistan, which he
hadn't been into since he left when he was 11 years old.”
THAT'S A FACT
Singh was a founding member of New York's Flea Theatre.
CAPTION
